Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026.

Today is a free educational resource from Chapter Therapy, not a therapy portal or crisis service. It does not replace psychotherapy, medical care, or confidential treatment. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe.

What we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and a password handled by our authentication provider. The intake questions, answers, chapter progress, reflections, and saved chapters you enter are stored as part of your account so the app can personalize your reading order.

Please don't enter confidential medical or therapy information into the app's free-text fields. The app is designed for general reflection and self-help practice, not for storing protected health information.

How we use it

We use your information to show the right chapter, remember where you left off, and improve the reading experience. We do not sell your data. We do not use your answers to train AI models or for advertising.

Sharing

We share data only with the services that run the app (authentication and database providers). If you choose to share a chapter with someone by email, that email address is used only to send the message you requested.

Security

We use standard industry practices to protect your account and data. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private.

Your choices

You can delete your account at any time by contacting us. Deletion will remove your profile data and progress from our systems.

Children

Today is intended for adults. If you are under 18, please use the app with a parent or guardian.
